Did Mossad Kill Six of Its Officers?

Iran’s Tasnim News Website reported this Wednesday that Israel’s Mossad killed six of its own officers for having links with the Islamic Republic.

Iran’s state media reported on Wednesday that Mossad, Israel’s spy agency, killed six of its Iran-desk officers for having links with Tehran.

Upon the missing of six Israeli intelligence officers last week, Iran’s Tasnim News Website reported that they were all secretly killed by Israel’s national intelligence agency known also as Mossad for having ties with Iran.

“The Iranian Intelligence Ministry forces have detected a complicated security operation for an act of sabotage that Mossad was planning at an industrial center in Isfahan, arresting all operational elements involved in the plot,” the report said, adding also that “thereafter, Mossad discharged the head of its Iran desk and killed, with various methods, at least six senior officers working at the desk on a charge of links with Iranian intelligence forces.”

The report also listed the name of the six allegedly killed yet certainly missing Mossad officers which included Tomer Eikes, Ayalon Shapira, Sharon Small, Shaili Westland, Ofek Aharon, and Itamar Elhara.

The report alleges that these six top-ranking officers were killed by Mossad during an interrogation process on a charge of links with Iran’s security service.

“Apart from these six officers,” the report noted, “a number of other officers have also been eliminated by the counter-espionage department of Mossad in various ways, such as through car accidents. The exact number and the fate of the victims remain unknown.”

Mossad confirmed and rejected the report!

Reacting to Tasnim’s report about the tragic fate of Israeli intelligence officers, Mossad confirmed their death. It said, however, that each and every one of the officers died either naturally or by accident, and that there was no killing at all. Mossad claimed, for example, that two of the above-mentioned officers, ‘Sharon Small’, 42, and 21-year-old ‘Shaili Westland’ have had a stroke (after having a fall).

Israel’s national intelligence agency also alleged that two other officers named ‘Ofek Aharon’, 26, and ‘Itamar Elharar’, 28, have been shot dead in a clash with completely personal motives. The agency gave no detail about the two other dead officers.

Saudi media also partially confirmed Tasnim’s report

Following the release of Tasnim’s report, the Saudi-funded news media, Iran International, confirmed the core of the Tasnim report that indeed six Mossad officers have died. But just like Mossad, Iran International also rejected Iran’s narrative and tried to cast doubt on the achievement of the Iranian intelligence forces by saying that the officers died not killed.

“The Mossad officers have not died recently but their deaths happened months ago.” Iran International said. In Tasnim’s report, however, there is no mention of the time of the death of the officers. Israel has been carrying out several acts of espionage against Iran during recent years, especially targeting Iran’s nuclear program.

Referring to the defeat of Mossad in its latest effort to hurt Iran, Tasnim’s report explains in a victorious tone for Iran’s intelligence services that “Mossad could never imagine that the counter-espionage service of Iran’s security organization had been informed of their moves for the act of sabotage in Isfahan since the operation was being planned, and had maintained such (intelligence) dominance from when the plot was created until the arrest of the operational forces.”
