Days Ahead of Ramadan; Israel Wants Truce, But Acts Violent in the West Bank

The string of face-offs between Israel and Palestinian people has led to the death of seven Palestinians in three days. The clashes may continue considering the ongoing use of violent force by Israel in the West Bank.

Three Palestinian males were slain by Israeli military police in the West Bank, according to Israeli authorities. Israel claims that the victims carried armaments, according to Israeli police, and were “killed in a shoot-out” in the early morning event.

Israeli police released a statement, hours after the killing attributing the victims to terrorist groups in the region. “This is a terrorist cell that has been involved in terrorist activity against security forces recently, and was apparently on its way to another attack,” part of the statement read.

Officials from the Palestinian Authority did not respond immediately. Paramedics received no permission for entry to the location, according to Palestinian people on social media. The 3 freedom fighters died near Arraba intersection in southern part of Jenin in the West Bank, they explained.

Following a series of violent incidents in Israel, hostilities have increased during the last week. A Palestinian national allegedly targeted some persons in the Israeli Bnei Brak three days earlier. The incident brought the total number of persons slain in Israel by purported Palestinian assailants to 11 in less than a week.

With the fatalities on Saturday, Israel murdered a total of seven Palestinian people during only three days. Two days ago, Israeli troops killed three Palestinian nationals in the West Bank. One of the victims was a youngster in the Jenin refugee camp.

Besides, after Friday mosque services, Israeli troops murdered a man in the West Bank city of Hebron yesterday. The clashes may lead to more violent face-offs and claim more lives in the West Bank.

West Bank; Center of Clashes

The Red Crescent rescue agency in Palestine said yesterday that 36 Palestinians suffered injuries in weekly clashes with Israeli soldiers. The clashes occurred in a number of locations across the West Bank. According to the organization, plastic bullets hit 33 of the victims and another three suffered live ammunition.

They’re seeking to prevent the same mistakes as last year. During Ramadan, rallies against unlawful removal of Palestinian people from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah sparked an 11-day Israeli attack on Gaza.

The Israeli bombing killed at least 260 people among the Palestinian civilians. 66 children were also among the victims. Palestinians still suffer the consequences of violent shelling by Israel that destroying the critical infrastructures of cities.

On the Israeli side, Israel lost 12 persons to see the least consequence of war. A harshest side of war emerged when Arab citizens in Israel held large gatherings against Israeli policies during the 11-day war. Israeli Lod city burnt in fire as fury as unprecedented protests ravaged the city.

With the upcoming Ramadan month in 2022, Israel mean to approach no similar circumstance considering local and international consequences. The talks over the West Bank occurs while Tel Aviv’s thirst to proceed with its illegal plans exposes a self-contradiction.

Meanwhile, the Israeli war machine knows no way to stop violence against people. The logic of truce and the passion for violence are the Israeli Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde at fight.
