“Israel is not a country by a base of terrorism in the region,” Iranian leader Ayatollah Khamenei stressed in a speech marking the International Al-Quds (Jerusalem) day.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Iranian supreme leader made a televise speech on international Al-Quds day. The speech that was addressed to all Muslims and freedom fighters across the world, focused on the Palestinian Issue.

In part of the speech, Khamenei tensely criticized the essence of Israel as “terrorist base” which all people has a duty to fight with.

“The fight against this despotic regime is the fight against oppression and the fight against terrorism. And this is a public duty to fight against this regime,” Khamenei said according to Reuters.

Iranian leader also emphasized that the Israeli regime is on the way down to fall and nothing or no one could stop it.

He assaulted the Arab countries dubbed as “weak” for normalizing ties with the Zionist regime. The Iranian leader encouraged Palestinians to keep their resistance and reiterated the promise of freedom with “Muslim unity.”

International Al-Quds Day, founded by Ayatollah Khomeini is marked on the last day of Islamic Ramadan month. People across the world take to streets to protest 73 years of occupation, violence and injustice against the Palestinian people.

Though the pandemic affected the wide demonstrations across the world, including western cities like London, Berlin, New York, and Paris, people got together spontaneously in Tehran to show their solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

People took to social media using various hashtags to keep the protests alive in Pandemic era. The Hashtag #FreePalestine was reported to have been trended in diverse regions across the world.

Simultaneously, cyber-attacks against Israeli Television and radio stations were reported a day earlier. Israeli Prime Minister’s Instagram account was also disrupted.
