According to the head of FIFA, football’s international regulatory authority, World Cup 2022 in Qatar was “the finest ever.”

Gianni Infantino attributed this to the exceptional, coherent power that this the event in the Middle East has displayed following a meeting of the FIFA council.

The event in Qatar, according to Infantino, are the transforming heritage of this World Cup.  “Many individuals from all over the world have come to Qatar and have found the Arab world, which they didn’t know or they just knew for what was projected to the,” he further explained.

Infantino praised the diversity of the nations that advanced to the tournament’s knockout round, in addition to the presence of the sport’s first female referee.

Moroccan team was beaten 2-0 by the reigning champions France in the World Cup semifinal, while Morocco already qualified as the first Arab and African nation to make the achievement. Teams from every continent advanced to the knockout round, demonstrating that there is progress being made toward football’s goal of being genuinely international for the first time.

“Morocco’s performance, in my opinion, has been fantastic. Fantastic … They played with sincerity, but they also had a certain charm. It is not by accident when teams make it to the World Cup semifinals,” Infantino said.

In addition to Senegal, Cameroon, Ghana, and Tunisia, he complimented Morocco. This demonstrates the quality of football in Africa. African football’s big breakthrough was always just around the corner.

Infantino continued that the World Cup has been a tremendous success on all fronts in Qatar. The most important one, according to Infantino, is the fans, their actions, the happy environment, and the mingling of people. The interaction of the fans with the Arab world has been crucial to football’s collective future.

Against All Critical Campaigns

Additionally, the almost twofold increase in the number of African nations competing in the next World Cup will assist the development process. France’s Stephanie Frappart, the first female referee to officiate a game, received recognition.

According to Infantino, the games in Qatar has also enabled FIFA to earn more than $1 billion over and beyond what was anticipated for in 2018-2022 process.

In the period from 2018 to 2022, FIFA earned around $7.5 billion, and Infantino predicted that by the end of the 2026 World Cup, which would be hosted by the North America, revenue might reach $11 billion.

With today’s third-place Croatia-Morocco match, this World Cup is undoubtedly still ongoing. Of course, the highlight will be the marquee World Cup final between Argentina and France on Sunday, Qatari National Day.

3.27 million people have already watched the games in stadiums, as opposed to 3.3 million who watched the whole 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The FIFA president said that the 2026 World Cup’s style would alter, with the number of participating nations rising to 48 and being organized into 16 groups of three teams. The top two teams advance to the round of 32. However, FIFA has not yet considered this a final decision.

Since the game’s 32-team expansion in 1998, four categories have been employed, with the top two teams advancing to the knockout phase. This structure produced some outstanding drama in the group stage’s final matches.

Morocco will hold the 2022 Club World Cup from February 1–11, 2023. Usually held in December, the event was postponed this year due to the Qatar world cu timing. Given to its outstanding show in the Qatar games and a Successful event in Qatar, Morocco has high hopes and a good chance of winning the 2030 World Cup.
