In a terrorist attack on Shah Cheragh Mosque in Iran’s city of Shiraz apparently by the ISIS group, at least four people have been killed. The group targeted the same place last year, killing 13 people.
Iran’s city of Shiraz was the scene of a terrorist attack this Sunday evening, during which one armed man entered the Shah Cheragh Mosque and opened fire at security forces and worshipers.
Early reports from Iranian media suggest that the terrorist tried to enter the mosque but was encountered by the security forces. He then pulled out his gun and shot several times, killing two of the guardians of the holy place and at least two worshipers.
Other reports said that there were in fact two terrorists involved in the attack and that one of them was killed during the clash with security forces.
The ISIS terrorist group seems to have taken responsibility for the bloody attack. If true, this would be the second time that the terrorist group is attacking the same spot in Iran. Last year in October, an armed member of the ISIS group entered the Shah Cheragh mosque and killed 13 worshipers.
