According to medical sources, Israel has murdered at least 640 Palestinians in north Gaza after it besieged the region 17 days ago, 33 of them have died since Monday morning. The Foreign Ministry of the Palestinian Authority issued a warning on Sunday, saying, massacre is taking place in northern Gaza in its most obvious form.
The failure of the international community to halt this “war of extermination has emboldened Israel to continue its deadly campaign,” the statement said, adding that the Israeli army has compelled citizens of northern Gaza to leave their homes under assault or face murdering in what seems like an orbit of certain doom.
Tarez Abu Azzoum reported from Deir el-Balah in central Gaza that residents in northern Gaza are “trapped” in their homes due to “a mass blackout.” There is no more food, water, or healthcare, he continued. According to Abu Azzoum, Israeli army attacks are still concentrated in the north, especially in the Jabalia refugee camp, even though Israeli airstrikes have struck several locations around Gaza. The Israeli army is dividing and detaining scores of men at crossings, according to Palestinian women who were forced to leave northern Gaza.
According to Abu Azzoum, five Palestinians were slain in the southern city of Rafah, and their remains were found by rescuers. According to medical sources, an Israeli shelling in Jabalia killed at least 18 more people and injured a number of others. Additionally, two Palestinians were also murdered in Saftawi area northwest of Gaza City.
Citizens Being Injured and Dead
Ibrahim al-Khalili reported from Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City, where funerals have been conducted since the early hours of the morning and Palestinian victims from the north have been coming following a series of attacks. He characterized the situation as impossible. They targeted and killed people who were filling water containers. A school bunker in Beit Lahiya was also assaulted, leaving many injured and several dead, according to al-Khalili.
Israeli soldiers on Monday destroyed a block of houses in Jabalia and attacked at least three UNRWA schools there, according to a statement from the UN Human Rights Office. Amid constant shelling throughout the beleaguered territory, the UN panel stated that Israel “may be causing the destruction of the Palestinian population in Gaza’s northernmost governorate through death and displacement.”
Since October of last year, Israel’s ruthless assault on the Gaza Strip has murdered about 42,600 people, primarily women and children, and injured 99,800 more. However, the actual number is probably far higher because thousands more dead are still buried beneath the debris.
Israel began yet another attack there in what the UN and Palestinian rights organizations now believe is an attempt to rid it of Palestinian inhabitants, despite its claims to have beaten Hamas in northern Gaza and Jabalia in early January of this year. Health officials and humanitarian workers in Gaza said that because to intense Israeli shelling, the majority of supplies has not reached northern Gaza.
People in Gaza “are facing absolutely unimaginable conditions,” according to Sam Rose, head of planning at the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees. He also mentioned that they have been experiencing 12 months of war, continuous movement, destruction, dying, loss of belongings, poverty and lack of food and water.
The severity of the airstrikes and military operations has increased significantly over the last two weeks, Rose stated. With the closure and the way the area is being choked, it is very tough to get a good read on what is going on, but every report we are receiving indicates the situation up there for the roughly 175,000 people we estimate are still alive is absolutely dreadful.
