Results of a new poll show that most Israelis believe they have lost the war in Gaza.
Most Israelis either believe Israel has lost the war against Hamas in Gaza or are unsure of the outcome, according to a new poll released by Israel’s Kan Radio and reported by Ma’an news agency this Tuesday. The survey also showed that the vast majority of Israelis refuse to live in the Gaza Strip after the end of the war.
According to the results of this poll, only 27% of Israelis believe that Israel has won the Gaza war, while 35% think that Israel has lost and the remaining 38% are not sure about the outcome.
This uncertainty is also reflected among voters of Israel’s right-wing parties, with 47 percent of them saying Israel has won, while 48 percent disagree with the idea and believe Israel has lost the war.
The poll also showed that only 14 percent of Israelis would like to settle in the cities surrounding Gaza after the war. “Some 86 percent of Israelis are unwilling to live in towns and villages around the Gaza envelope after the end of the current Israeli war on the Palestinian enclave,” the poll revealed.
