Israel seems to have plans to retaliate the Iranian drones and missiles attack in another way after it failed to give Tehran a proper and strong military response.
In recent days, different news outlets from in and out of Israel have published reports about the tensions between Israel and Iran, asserting that the battle between Israel and Iran is not over and that a new phase could begin any time soon.
Some have even set out solutions for Israel and its Western allies on how to properly and effectively respond to Iran’s threat, mostly emphasizing the issue of destabilizing Iran by helping to create new internal disturbances.
In one of these reports titled “strategies of Israel and the West to deal with Iran”, which was published by Israel Hayom, the report noted that recent developments between Israel and Iran and the assistance offered to Israel by other countries to repel Iran’s missile and drones attack “is a strategic opportunity for Israel and its western allies to pursue a new round of actions as a group with the aim of destabilizing the Iranian regime.”
The report further noted that Israel’s limited response to Iran was the first step in moving this strategy forward, “because by presenting a limited and insignificant military response to Iran’s extensive attack, Israel risked being discredited and to look weak, but Israel did this at the request of the United States and other western countries as they asked Israel to give a limited response to Iran in order to preserve their interests, peace, and economic prosperity. This was important because a decisive response from Israel could have very well led to a regional and even global war not desired by the West at all. Therefore, it is now their turn to listen to Israel and follow its strategy to hit Iran where it hurts.” But what is Israel’s new strategy against Iran and will it bear fruit?
What is Israel’s new strategy against Iran?
The report explains that in order to take advantage of internal opposition in Iran, Israel and its allies must start new efforts and provide the necessary tools and support to the Iranian people to overthrow the regime.
These aids can briefly include the following:
1- Providing technical assistance to deal with limiting and cutting off the Internet on the people of Iran by the regime of the Islamic Republic.
2- Establishing relations with influential figures inside the Iranian regime who have Western tendencies and have lived and studied in the West for some time in order to create unity between Iranians inside and outside the country.
3- Facilitating the distribution of personal war equipment to Iranian citizens who are willing to take up armed resistance against the cruel repressions of the Iranian regime.
But it is too naïve of decision makers in Tel Aviv if they think they can turn Iranian’s against their government. This is because such a strategy has been practiced before and each time, Iran has survived the challenge. There is no reason, therefore, to believe that Israel has a different chance this time to follow a path that has already been taken several times with no success at all.
On the contrary, making such efforts by Israel can risk yet another strong response by Iran. After all, Iran did something that it has never done before by directly attacking Israel. It is now easier for it to do the same thing another time.
