Phase Two talks are anticipated to begin on Monday. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said in a news conference that Qatar has begun interacting with both sides for that reason.
Sheikh Mohammed, also serving as Qatari foreign minister, and Foreign Minister of Turkey met before the news briefing. Middle East and global issues were among the topics of discussion between the two parties. Given the rapid developments in both nations, Palestine and Syria were among the primary topics of discussion. Turkey and Qatar have played important roles in both nations.

four days later, the first 42-day phase of the agreement went into force. Through multiple transfers, 583 Palestinian inmates have been released from Israeli prisons thus far.
Before continuing on to their ultimate destination, a few of the released inmates were expelled to Egypt. According to Doha, they are welcome to stay there if they so want. Following the liberation of 13 Israeli prisoners by Hamas, the Palestinians were freed. Additionally, throughout the same time frame, five Thai laborers were also freed.
Ceasefire after 15 Months
Following over 15 months of murder and bloodshed in the Gaza, the agreement was reached. about 48,000 Palestinian citizens, notably children and women, have been murdered by Israel. The real number is thought to be much higher. There are still many buried beneath the debris and unknown.
Both Doha and Ankara emphasized how urgent it is to put an end to the conflict in Palestinian lands. Attempts to forcefully relocate Palestinians without the Gazan territories were also denounced by them. Sending Palestinian people from their city to Jordan and Egypt is something that American new President Donald Trump has been standing on in recent months.
Doha opposes efforts to forcefully relocate Palestinian people outside of their place of origin, Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed. Fidan urged the whole world to oppose attempts to force Palestinians out of the Gaza.
In the meantime, Syria’s transitional period was given particular attention in the talks. The transitional government has begun functioning after the Bashar Al-Assad dictatorship collapsed late in 2024. Last week, Ahmed Al-Sharaa was named the interim president of Syria. He gave a directive to form a provisional legislative assembly.
Since Assad’s overthrow, Damascus has seen more involvement with the global world. Under the leadership of Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham of Al-Sharaa, the government was overthrown in a swift onslaught.
As Syria moves through its transitional period, Doha and Ankara are closely coordinating, according to Türkiye’s foreign minister.
