According to Lebanese officials, 45 persons have died as a result of an Israeli air strike in the southern suburbs of Beirut. Three kids and seven females were among the victims. The health authorities in Lebanon updated the previous death toll from the Friday incident, stating on Sunday that the total number of fatalities increased to 45.

The airstrike on the crowded location on Friday came after hundreds of pagers and walkie-talkies exploded across Lebanon on Tuesday and Wednesday. At least 39 people were killed and almost 3,000 were injured in the blasts, which were attributed to Israel.
Hezbollah claimed late on Saturday that it had fired dozens of missiles against the Ramat David air base, which is located east of Haifa. The strike happened in retaliation for civilian deaths in Lebanon. Sirens sounded throughout the northern region of Israel. Should the attack be verified, it would mark the furthest the group’s projectiles have traveled into Israel since the hostilities began on October 7. Ten projectiles were fired from Lebanese soils, according to the Israeli the armed forces, the majority of which were intercepted.
Earlier in the morning, the Israeli army declared that its forces was “extensively” attacking southern Lebanon with dozens of its jets. During Saturday, Hezbollah has also fired hundreds more counterattack rockets into Israeli north.
After Israel invaded Gaza about a year ago, Hezbollah members in Lebanon exchanged cross-border gunfire with the Israeli military leading the residents of northern regions to leave their houses. But after last month, conflict has become more intense. According to reports in Lebanon, Israeli fighter jets conducted a massive air assault over southern Lebanon on Saturday night.
According to the Israeli the armed forces, around 400 rocket launchers in Beirut suburbs and Lebanese South were hit and approximately 90 rockets were launched from Lebanon towards northern Israel. Whether anyone was hurt or murdered in the back-and-forth strikes was not readily apparent.
