Retired Israeli Major-General Yitzhak Brik warned in an interview this Thursday that if Israel continues its war of attrition with Hamas and Hezbollah with the current pace, it could face total collapse in less than a year.
In an interview with an Israel’s Haaretz this Thursday, retired Major-General Yitzhak Brik said that if the war with the Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza and Lebanon’s Hezbollah in the north continues with its current pace, Israel “will collapse in less than a year.”
Referring to the crises that have plagued Israel since the beginning of the Gaza war, Brik said that “the increase of attacks inside the territory of Israel, the crisis of manpower in the army due to heavy war casualties, a collapsing economy exacerbated by global calls for sanctions against Israel, growing arms embargoes even by friendly countries, and a loss of social resilience and growing hatred of the government among Israeli people are issues that if continue, they can bring down Israel by next year.”
“All roads of political and military rank lead Israel to the slope … Israel has entered an existential spin, and it may soon reach a point of no return,” he added.
Defeating Hamas is a wild dream, Israeli Major-General explained!
Brik also asserted that claims of Israeli officials about Hamas surrender and that its leader, Yahya Sinwar, would be caught by Israel any time soon, are all but wild dreams that will never come true.
“Most of the pretentious declarations made by Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, throughout the war in Gaza have proven to be groundless. With these pronouncements, Gallant, along with his colleagues, IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have all been throwing dust in the eyes of the Israeli public,” Brik said.
