Two villages located over 30 miles away from south of Nabatieh city were the zones of the strikes. The armed forces had earlier claimed in social media posts that its fighter planes had hit “military facilities” in these areas. Hezbollah and Israeli troops have been exchanging fire almost every day. The strikes were carried out in sympathy with the Gazan people and in backing for its partner, Hamas. subsequently Israel used missiles to murder prominent Hezbollah leader Fuad Shukr in the suburbs of the Lebanese capital. Hezbollah has vowed to take revenge. Tehran has also been seeking retribution for the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the former political leader of Hamas, inside its soils.
Fears of a significant regional confrontation have been raised by Israel’s killings and retaliatory threats. Experts believe that since Israel and Hezbollah last fought each other in 2006, the armed organization linked with Iran has bolstered its military might.
Hezbollah published a footage yesterday that purportedly showed its members moving massive missiles through tunnels at an underground location in what looked to be inside Lebanon. The video was the most graphic movie that Hezbollah has ever published, showcasing the extent of its weaponry and tunnel network. The footage was probably leaked by the Lebanese group to “deter” Israel from conducting a large-scale assault against its assets and Lebanese people.
Hezbollah has stated time and time again that its assaults on Israeli soldiers in Israeli soils will halt only with a truce in place in Gaza.
