French prosecutor’s department in the capital has stated that potential antisemitic crimes of hatred committed throughout a football game would also be closely examined.
Home Secretary Gérald Darmanin confirmed the death threats, and the local anti-online hatred authority will be in charge of the inquiry. Israeli foreign minister alerted his French colleague about a purported scheme to attack Israeli participants and visitors at the Olympic Games in Paris, which was allegedly supported by Iran.

Dozens of “ultra” supporters reportedly yelled anti-Israel and pro-Gaza war shouts in Paris, according to reporters at the stadium. The phrases “Israel Murderer” and “Israel is murdering Palestine’s kids” were chanted in the stadium.
A portion of the audience whistled the Israeli anthem. “Release the hostages” was yelled back by a few Israeli supporters in the same place. The prosecutor’s department released a statement indicating that the supporters may face charges for serious inducement to racial hate.
According to a statement from the prosecution, anti-cybercrime police are also looking into the disclosure of athletes’ private information on social media and are working to have it taken down. On social networks, Israeli players’ private information, such as blood test results and login information, was exposed. Israel cautioned Paris about cyberbullying targeting its competitors and personal data dumps, which it attributed to organizations with Iranian support.
