Nations Warning to Their Citizen Living in Lebanon
As hostilities rise, several nations, including the US, the UK, Germany, and France, have advised their people to either leave or refrain from traveling to Lebanon. David Lammy, the foreign minister for Britain, stated on Tuesday that the situation was “fast-moving” and that British citizens should “leave Lebanon and not travel to the country.” Flights to Beirut have also been canceled by many companies.
While Netanyahu visited Majdal Shams on Monday, many local Druze citizens demonstrated against him, stating that their religion and beliefs forbids killing anyone and retaliation. They said that they disagree with the dropping of a single drop of human blood under the pretense of seeking revenge of the lives of our kids. Israel and the US blame Hezbollah for the attack. However, the organization has disclaimed accountability. Although Lebanese authorities expect a major Israeli reaction, they believe it would be sufficiently limited to provide Hezbollah with a way out of the current situation.
According to Hezbollah the fear of war will persist regardless of whether the most recent tensions can be settled without escalation, because its campaign’s resolution is conditioned on the cessation of hostilities in Gaza. Danny Citrinowicz stated, it is merely an issue of time before we approach another war in the north of Israel without a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
