Israel has been under fire from the United Nations and states around the world for its violent armed strike on a recognized civilian safe zone located in Gaza. Around 90 civilians perished in the incident, and hundreds more were injured. Mohammed Deif, a leading member of Hamas, was reportedly the objective of yesterday strike in al-Mawasi, according to Israeli sources. Benjamin Netanyahu, however, stated that he remained unsure if the combatant had died in the bloody attack. The assault’s basis was denied by Hamas as incorrect stating that unprotected and unarmed people of all ages were slain in the attack.
At the scene of the assaults, Palestinians were seen picking through wreckage and what seemed to be shelter ruins in pictures and footages that reporters authenticated. Nations inside and across the Middle East reacted to the violent attack using lambasting and critical language.
In response to Israeli crimes, the Saudi Arabian foreign Ministry demanded triggering global investigative measures. The Foreign Ministry vehemently denounced the Israeli military apparatus’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinians, the most recent of which was the bombing of camps housing refugees in Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
The incident has been described by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a stage in the Netanyahu administration’s plan to completely eradicate the Palestinian people. It demanded that nations who back Israel stop the tyranny.
“The fact that Israel once again opted for bloodshed when it was expected to respond to Hamas’s positive response to the ceasefire [proposal] is evidence that the Netanyahu government is trying to prevent negotiations for a permanent ceasefire,” the ministry said.
Al-Mawasi Camp
Qatar has participated in truce talks as an intermediary. It referred to the “shocking and brutal massacre” that took place in Khan Younis yesterday as a fresh episode in the continuing cycle of violence that Israel has been committing against Palestinian people. The strike, it said, would jeopardize world settlement and safety and extend an ongoing pattern of bloodshed in the area, undermining efforts towards a sustainable peace’.
The head of Hezbollah in Lebanon denounced Israeli operation and claimed that the Lebanese organization’s strikes on Israeli targets fulfill its obligation to defend the Palestinian people and are not a favor. A massive slaughter against homeless people in al-Mawasi in Khan Younis took place out by Israel, according to Nasrallah. He added, “then it justified it by claiming that it intended to target [Hamas] leaders.”
The assault on Southern Gaza was described as the “latest crime in the series of crimes committed by the child-killing Zionist regime” by a spokesman for Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “The Israelis have ruthlessly demonstrated once more that they refuse to abide by any morally or humanitarian code toward the defenseless people of the Gaza Strip in order to make up for the losses they have sustained on their offensive against the “resistance”. They have to understand that continuing along this route would only fuel more hatred around the world, Kanaani wrote in a post on X.
The Israeli government’s fierce assaults against Palestinian people which include yesterday’s raid on the al-Mawasi camp, have been “strongly condemned” by the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “This heinous and appalling attack, which took place inside an area Israel designated itself as a safe zone for Palestinians, is a flagrant disregard for all human life,” the ministry stated in a post on X.
Colombia, United Arab Emirates, the United States, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, and organizations like the United Nations and Organization for Islamic Cooperation have also criticized Israeli attack against civilians in al-Mawasi camp in separate statements.
