After Israel was defeated in the last round of clash with Iran, Hebrew media are now showing new ways of challenging Iran to Tel Aviv.
Iran’s massive drones and missiles attack against Israel on April 13 was unique in the sense that it was the first time in history that Iran directly targeted Israel. In response, Israel did almost nothing, flying a handful number of small drones towards Iran, all of which were shoot down by Iran’s air defense systems.
Admitting that in the last round of clash between Iran and Israel, it was Iran that could beat Israel, Hebrew media are now suggesting that the Jewish regime should take other measures against the Islamic Republic to save face and regain its lost prestige.
In this regard, the Hill said in a report this Friday that Israel should now demand EU countries to close their air space to Iranian airlines as a response to the attack on Israel on April 13.
“Just days after France and the U.K. helped down airborne Iranian missiles and munitions that were launched towards Israel, Iran Air flights were soaring through the sky as usual, bound for Paris and London. How can it be that after Iran’s latest aggression, Europe has yet to ban Iran’s national airline from its airspace?” the report noted, accusing Iran airplanes without evidence of providing equipment and money to Hamas and Hezbollah.
Citing from Sir Liam Fox, a former British defense secretary, the report also said that “last week, Fox bluntly put the question to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak: “Why is Iran Air still operating out of Heathrow?” This same query should be put to the leaders of Austria, France, Germany and Italy, whose nations allow Iran’s national airline to fly direct.”
Israel should do more to challenge Iran, Israeli media says!
In yet another report by another Hebrew media, the Israel AL Hayom said in a report that Israel should have a broader strategy to defeat Iran. In an op-ed titled “Strategies for Israel and the West,” Al Hayom said that “recent developments between Israel and Iran and the help of other nations to Israel to deter Iran attack presents a strategic opportunity for Israel and its Western allies to pursue actions aimed at destabilizing the Iranian regime.”
Asserting that Israel helped regional states as well as Western countries preserve their national interests by limiting its response to Iran’s massive attack against Israel on April 13, and that it is now their turn to listen to Israel and help it defeat the Islamic Republic.
Putting the focus of war on creating division among the Iranian society, the report also said that “Israel and its allies must focus on providing the Iranian people with the necessary tools and support to overthrow the regime. This could involve supplying technological solutions that enable internal dissent and communication, cultivating relationships with influential figures within the regime to encourage defections, and even facilitating the distribution of militant capabilities to Iranian citizens willing to resist the regime’s ruthless suppression.”
Suggesting that Israel and its allies should take lessons from the Arab Spring movements and try to set up a similar uprising inside Iran, the report explained that “in countries like Egypt, Libya, Syria, and Tunisia, people took to the streets in massive protests, demanding political reform and an end to authoritarian rule. This historical context underscores the importance of supporting similar movements within Iran, where discontent with the ruling regime is palpable and ripe for catalyzing meaningful change.”
