Ignoring all the international demand for ending the war, Israel carried out deadliest attacks on Syria and Lebanon this Friday night, killing dozens of people.
This Friday night, the Israeli military carried out one of its deadliest series of attacks on northern Syria’s Aleppo province. Israel said the attacks were aimed at killing the Lebanese Hezbollah militia and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stationed in Syria. Israeli intelligence agencies claim that
Iranian and Hezbollah forces have entrenched themselves across Syria, including around Aleppo and the capital Damascus, to conduct military and intelligence operations against Israel amid its war with Hamas.
According to security sources in Syria, 33 Syrians and six Hezbollah fighters had been killed in Friday strikes, representing the single highest death toll in Israeli strikes on Syria since Oct. 7.
Israel also attacked Lebanon!
Israel also conducted separate airstrikes on Lebanon the same day. According to an announcement by the Israeli military on Friday, the airstrikes on the area of Bazouriye in Lebanon killed Ali Abed Akhsan Naim, deputy commander of Hezbollah’s rocket and missiles unit.
The battle between Israel and Hezbollah started almost a month after the war between Israel and Hamas began on October 7. Since then, Lebanese health officials say that nearly 270 Hezbollah fighters and 50 civilians including medics, civilians and journalists have been killed in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon.
But Israeli officials say nearly a dozen Israeli troops and half a dozen civilians have been killed due to Hezbollah attacks in northern Israel. However, several reports suggest that Israel is indeed downplying the number of Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah.
