Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said this Tuesday that those countries who seek to normalize relations with Israel “are betting on a losing horse”, Iran’s state media reported.
According to Iran’s state media report on this Tuesday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei rebuked the countries who normalize ties with Israel and noted that this move is like “betting on a losing horse”.
“The definite position of the Islamic Republic is that countries that make the gamble of normalization with Israel will lose. They are betting on a losing horse,” Iran’s Leader said Tuesday.
Speaking to top Iranian officials, ambassadors of Islamic countries in Iran, and people from different strata in Tehran, the Supreme Leader of Iran also criticized the Islamophobia in the West. Referring to the recent Quran burnings in some European countries, asserted that the fear of the Western powers from the teachings of the Holy Quran is “the reason for their plans to insult this divine book”.
Khamenei further rebuked the justification of insulting the holy Quran by Western countries with repeated, and false claims such as freedom of speech to dishonor Quran and said, “do the countries who allow insulting the Quran under the pretext of freedom of speech also allow attacks on Zionist symbols?”
He also emphasized that the way to deal with the interfering actions of the US and the coercive powers in the region, the unity of the Islamic countries and the adoption of a single policy are fundamental issues.
“I invite the leaders of the Muslim countries to think about this question that “Who is the enemy of the unity of the Islamic countries and who does the Muslim unity the most harm?” Khamenei said.
Iran’s Leader then accused the West, especially the US, of the act of robbery from Muslim nations and noted that the unity of Islamic countries in West Asia and North Africa will prevent theft, coercion, and interference by the United States. “Today, the United States is fighting the countries of the region politically and economically, stealing Syria’s oil, and training the cruel, barbaric, and bloodthirsty ISIS members in its camps to bring them to the field again are all the US malignant acts against the Muslim countries in our region.” Khamenei noted.
“But if we are all united,” Khamenei continued, “and Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and all the Persian Gulf countries have a single policy to adopt in general issues, the Western powers cannot and do not dare to interfere in our domestic and foreign affairs.”
Iran welcomes peace and discards war, Iran’s Leader says
Ayatollah Khamenei also pointed out that Iran is a country that always seeks peace and stability and has never favored war. “We have said many times and we say it again that Iran does not encourage anyone to war and military action, and we ourselves also strongly avoid it,” Khamenei said.
Last but not least, Iran’s Supreme Leader called the issue of Palestine and the expulsion of a nation from their homes and torturing and killing them as the first issue of the Islamic world in the last few decades and emphasized that the definite opinion of Iran is the governments who take the gamble of normalizing relations with the Zionist regime will lose as they are indeed betting on a losing horse.
Since September 2020 and with the help of Washington, a number of Arab states have begun normalizing their relations with Israel. Tel Aviv now hope that after Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan, Saudi Arabia can join the club and normalize its relations with Israel.
