An Iranian Intelligence report of the month-long riots provides details about the perpetrators.
The chief commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards issued a warning to protestors that Saturday would be their final day of demonstrations. Salami’s comments might indicate that the government troops will step up their efforts to quell the protests.
Since the death of Mahsa Amini in the Capital under morality police’s custody in September, Iran has been engulfed in demonstrations. The escalations have been one of the largest challenges the nation has faced in years.
“Stay away from the streets! The disturbances are over as of today “Hossein Salami, the head of the IRGC, utilized some of the most abrasive rhetoric throughout the turmoil. The Iranian government has attributed the riots to its enemies abroad, including Israel and the US.
This evil scheme was devised in Washington and Tel Aviv, according to Salami. During the period of the popular uprising, in which women have been largely instrumental, the organizers of the riots have rejected such warnings. On Saturday, there were reportedly sporadic rallies.
Since protests started in September, the well-organized Revolutionary Guards have not been sent into action. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader, is the primary supervisor of the IRGC. The disturbances have been handled by Iranian officials with the utmost caution throughout the last month.
The Intelligence Department and the Revolutionary Guards’ intelligence division have charged Saudi Arabia, Israel, the United States, and Britain with orchestrating the uprising to topple the Islamic Republic. Salami was speaking at a funeral for people who had died in an incident this week that the ISIS had claimed responsibility for.
In a direct speech to the demonstrators, he reinforced that message. “Don’t sell your honor to America, and don’t smack the people protecting you in the face with the security services.”
Iranian Intelligence Report
Tehran asserts that the extensive joint intelligence report is what spurred the upcoming UNSC meeting. It provides a picture of the accounts that guide Iranian authorities’ views on the riots. The US and several of its allies reportedly planned to do something similar but postponed it.
The current unrest was long anticipated and had plans for various phases before, during, and after such turmoil.
The US efforts have been led by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). According to the Iranian intelligence report, the Agency has received assistance from the intelligence agencies of the UK, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and other nations. The study cites reliable documentation to support its assertions.
The US, according to the Iranian intelligence agencies, has allegedly spent billions of dollars over a mid-term period building a network of supportive organizations. To promote “hybrid conflicts and quiet subversion” of the Iranian government, there have been several events and courses organized.
It claimed that these fully funded courses had taken place, among other places, in Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, and South Africa. According to the report, two Iranian women journalists who were “educated by the courses of the US mafia government in foreign nations” are identified by their initials.
The two women “played the part of becoming the first sources to fabricate news for international media” regarding Amini-related incidents that sparked the demonstrations.
Additionally, according to the intelligence assessment, CIA agents met with Kurdish separatist organizations in late September in the neighboring Iraqi area of Erbil. In order to punish these “terrorist groups,” the IRGC regularly bombed sites in the semi-autonomous Kurdish area of Iraq.
The intelligence report also discussed social media and television channels with international reach. Due to their alleged influence and manipulation by Washington, Twitter and Instagram have been banned.
