According to Iraqi sources, a drone assault took place near US military deployed at Erbil International Airport.
Three rockets hit the region in the vicinity of the airport. Local security service of Iraqi Kurdish zone confirmed the news. Erbil is the capital of Kurdish region.
Another source, nevertheless, stressed that the zone of the attack was a headquarter of Mossad, Israel intelligence service. “what was targeted yesterday North of Erbil airport is a Mossad headquarters,” Al-Mayadeen confirmed.
Local security officials asserted that the attack was made by drones. There has been no report of potential casualties.
The responsibility for the attack is yet to be claimed.
